Sustainable Development Goals
In September 2015, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with 17 ambitious new global goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are being embraced by many governments, communities, businesses, civil society and citizens to ensure a better and more sustainable world. The SDGs set the framework for international and national policy action. They are a tool for governments but also for non-state actors in promoting new ways of working, producing and consuming.
