Technical Module: Smart City - 18 hrs. lectures
- Introduction to the problems of Smart Cities and the Internet of Things
- Overview of the communication technologies that enable Smart Cities
- Hands-on workshop on data collection and analysis using wireless sensors
Cultural Module: French as a foreign language - 12 hrs. lectures
- Learn and practice basic French in different on-site situations
- Learn to decode cultural differences through speeches, attitudes, and behaviors

Activities
- Guided tour of Lyon
- Dinner in a typical French restaurant
- One day trip, such as a visit to the Beaujolais Region
- Social gathering with INSA Lyon students
- Farewell evening

- All Science and Engineering students at undergraduate or graduate level
How to apply
Application period: From 3 November to 2 December, 2025

Cost
Partner cost: €1,600
Full cost: €2,200
Check with your mobility coordinator within your university if we have an agreement and if the partner cost applies.
The tuition fees include:
- Shared accommodation on campus (shared bedroom for two, with small kitchen and bathroom)
- Breakfasts and lunches from Monday to Friday
- Participation and transport for all leisure activities organised by INSA Lyon
- Airport (Saint-Exupéry Lyon Airport) or Train station (Gare Part-Dieu) pick-up
- Metro/tramway/bus tickets
- Access to Wi-Fi on campus
The tuition fees do not include:
- Plane tickets
