Research Committees

The Research Committees regroup a number of Joint Research Units (Unités Mixtes de Recherche, UMR) within a specific field and sharing a common strategy.

Centre Lyonnais de Microscopie (CLYM) - FED 4092

The CLYM (Lyon Centre for Microscopy) is a multi-institutional Research Committee. Its objective is to promote structural, nanostructural and microstructural characterisation in Material Sciences using advanced microscopy techniques (atomic force microscopy, tomography, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)). The CLYM is one of the six members of the national TEM and Atom Probe network (METSA). It is supported by laboratories specialised in a variety of fields (structural materials, nano-materials and nano-technologies, catalysis, tribology and geology), who jointly own the installations.
Inter-institutional platforms

Observatoire de Terrain en Hydrologie Urbaine (OTHU)
The OTHU Field Observatory for Urban Water Management is a multidisciplinary outdoor laboratory for the study and monitoring of the flow of water and pollutants, from their creation in the atmosphere to their discharge into different environments (groundwater and rivers in particular).
