These shared platforms constitute a range of equipment, tools and studies available to the laboratories of INSA Lyon and partner structures.

Inter-institutional platforms
 

AIP PRIMECA

At the heart of the Rhône-Alpes region, and more particularly in its western part, the AIP-RAO is an inter-institutional resource and competence centre in computer-integrated manufacturing. This centre boasts significant industrial means available to several of the region's higher education institutions as support for in-depth training in this field.

Axel’One

Axel’One is a collaborative innovation platform dedicated to chemistry and the environment. Its mission is to pool means (facilities, equipment, skills, etc.) through the hosting of collaborative projects related to specific processes and innovative materials.

CIMIRLY

CIMIRLY, the Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre of the Lyon Region, is one of the 12 centres of the Public Interest Group for the National Coordination for Training in Microelectronics (GIP-CNFM). Hosted on INSA premises, it allows for sharing educational resources for practical training in microelectronics between five establishments in the Lyon/Saint-Etienne area.

EIFFEL

The "LGCIE – Plate-forme d’essais Eiffel" is a component of the LGCIE Laboratory of Civil and Environmental Engineering. This structural test platform is used for the purposes of research, teaching and studies in civil engineering and mechanics for the public and private sectors.

Evaluation Environnementale des Déchets, Matériaux et Sols Pollués - (Environmental Assessment of Waste, Materials and Contaminated Land)  (EEDEMS)

Organised as a GIS (Grouping of Scientific Interest), the EEDEMS platform is a network of high-level scientific expertise for the environmental assessment of waste, sediments, materials and contaminated soils. This network is equipped with an experimental technological pilot platform located on the INSA campus.

Coating Expert

This research group consolidates the Rhône-Alpes incentive by strengthening the interaction between economic and academic circles. It is a co-founder of the Rhône-Alpes South Jura Plastics Processes Competitiveness Cluster.

Coating Expert - Rhône-Alpes Painting R&D Centre

This R&D centre in the painting of polymers notably carries out studies into new coatings, implementation and drying processes, and the physical and mechanical characterisation of coatings.

LIPIDOMIQUE
 The IBiSA-labelled Lipidomics platform is housed at the Institute for Multidisciplinary Biochemistry of Lipids (IMBL).
It is primarily devoted to the analysis of structural lipids, lipids in cellular signalling, and food and nutritional lipids, and receives an increasing number of requests for analyses from outside sources, generated by the IMBL’s research.

NANOLYON
The Nanolyon technological platform is nationally recognised as a centralised local Micro-Nanotechnology facility. One of its components has been installed at INSA Lyon for over 15 years. Its flexible and easily accessible equipment, key supports for university teaching, allow for developing nanostructures, nanocomponents, and nanocharacterisation tools in relation with the INL (Lyon Institute of Nanotechnology), as well as Lyon-based, regional or national university and industrial partners.

Observatoire de Terrain en Hydrologie Urbaine (Urban Hydrology Field Observatory) (OTHU)
The OTHU Field Observatory for Urban Water Management is a multidisciplinary outdoor laboratory for the study and monitoring of the flow of water and pollutants, from their creation in the atmosphere to their discharge into different environments (groundwater and rivers in particular).

PROVADEMSE
Initiated by the EEDEMS and ENVIRHONALP Groupings of Scientific Interest (GIS) and labelled by the AXELERA competitiveness cluster, the PROVADEMSE platform aims to provide industrialists with a competence centre and shared resources in the strategic areas of ecotech and cleantech, and more particularly in sustainable waste management, water resources, raw materials and energy in highly human environments (industrial and urban).
