Access to professions and careers
The majority of jobs at INSA Lyon are within the civil service and therefore accessible by civil service exam. However, INSA also recruits staff under contract.
INSA Lyon requires skills in many sectors of activity involving extremely diverse professions within the establishment, such as:
- teaching and research,
- technical support positions in laboratories,
- mission support professions such as secretarial posts, education, financial management, Human Resources management, computing, culture, communication…
- management and maintenance of real-estate facilities
- catering and accommodation
The Teaching and Research professions
For teaching, INSA recruits Teacher-Researchers from various Sections of the National University Council (CNU), Second Degree (secondary school level) teachers and Contracted Teachers:
INSA has almost 200 contracted doctoral students (research grant beneficiaries), either holding a grant from the Ministry of Youth, National Education and Research, a CIFRE contract (Industrial Training Contract for Research) or regional grants.
The Administrative and Technical professions
From Technical Assistant to Research Engineers, INSA recruits Engineers, Administrative and Technical staff and Library staff (BIATSS) in the different entities.
