Master of Science

The Master of Science programme prepares students for doctoral studies leading to careers in research and higher education.

The Master of Science is a national diploma awarded by INSA Lyon. It corresponds to the second year of the National Diploma of Master. However, an Accreditation Validation Mechanism (ECTS credits) may allow admissions during the course of study. These equivalences are decided by the admission jury at the request of the candidate. The preparation of this master includes theoretical courses and an introduction to research (laboratory internship).

INSA Lyon is actively involved in 2 fields (aimed at Research) of the Lyon Master’s programme for Sciences, Technology and Health. The Master’s degree, in these given fields, is jointly organised with other ‘University of Lyon’ establishments.
