As the world fights to tackle climate change, securing affordable, net-zero energy stands out as a paramount engineering task for ensuring a future for our and next generations. Among the pivotal technologies necessary to direct energy systems toward sustainability and net-zero emissions is Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). CCS comprises several technologies which involve capturing CO2 from major point sources, followed by compression and transportation to appropriate underground reservoirs for either sequestration or enhanced oil recovery.
