  • Diplôme national d’Ingénieur (national engineering degree), recognised by the State and accredited by the Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur CTI) guarantees the education conforms with a framework. 
    This diploma confers a master’s degree.
  • Diplôme national de Master, national Master’s degree, a diploma recognised by the State. INSA Lyon participates in 2 Master’s of Lyon degrees in Science, Technology and Health. 
  • Diplôme national de Doctorat, national PhD, a degree recognised by the State and issued by an accredited higher public education institution, confers the degree and title of doctor. 
  • Diplôme Mastère spécialisé or MS, specialised master’s degree, a degree from an institution accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. This corresponds to a post-Master’s degree.
  • Diplôme Bachelor, Bachelor’s degree, an institutional degree not issued by the Ministry of Higher Education.
