Catering
Students on the Oyonnax campus have access to the nearby Lycée Arbez Carme cafeteria and benefit from the Crous student rate.
On the LyonTech-La Doua campus, INSA Lyon's restaurants prepare and serve breakfasts and meals seven days a week, eleven months a year.
LyonTech-La Doua campus catering options
Students who wish to subscribe to a meal plan must register via the INKK-Restaurants app.
All FIMI students (preparatory level) living in INSA Lyon residences are required to subscribe to a meal plan according to the terms of their campaign:
- For any registration between August 21 and September 10, 2023, you can choose to start your meal plan on any date between September 1 and September 12.
- For any registration after September 10, you will still need to register, but you will no longer be able to choose the start date of your meal plan, which will start automatically the day after.
Note: Non-resident FIMI students and other students can subscribe to a meal plan during a dedicated campaign, open from June 9 to August 27, 2023.
On-site boarding programmes
- Preparatory Level (FIMI) students staying in halls of residence can choose between three meal plans (breakfast, lunch and dinner) : 7/7 plan, 5/7 plan (weekdays only), or 5/7 Liberty plan (weekends included) catering packages.
- Preparatory Level (FIMI) scholarship students residing in INSA residences are not required to take their meals at the institution's restaurants during the duration of the government "1€ meal" scheme (meals to be taken at CROUS restaurants).
- Other students (non-resident FIMI students, scholarship students, specialty departments, apprentices, bachelor's, master's, and master's students) can choose from all existing plans: 7/7 plan, 5/7 plan, 5/7 Liberty plan, 15-meal plan, or individual tickets.
- High-level athletes students can benefit from from meal plans adapted to their sports practice.
Note: It is possible to change plans quarterly.
LyonTech-La Doua campus restaurants
INSA Lyon has several restaurants with specific catering arrangements:
- RI (INSA Restaurant): self-service restaurant offering traditional and international cuisine.
- In'SNACK Prévert: fast food, dine-in or take-out, breakfasts, and sandwiches
- In'SNACK Grillon: fast food, dine-in or take-out, and sandwiches
- L'Olivier: pizzeria
- Point A: breakfast (Building A)
Access
You must show your INSA-Université de Lyon student card to access the restaurant. This card is valid throughout your time at INSA Lyon.
The badge is for strictly personal use only and is not transferable. Loss of the badge and its renewal are the responsibility of the student
Payments
Flat-rate invoices are issued each month on the basis of the number of meals planned for the period.
Please note: students must inform the Catering Service of their departure date from the INSA residences 15 days in advance of their departure, by e-mail to accrest@insa-lyon.fr.
It is possible to buy individual meals or meals in addition to the package as follows:
- At the restaurant reception desk (credit card only).
- By recharging the student card at the terminals provided (in the halls of the Le Galilée and Le Thélème buildings)
- Via the secure Pop&Pay internet application.
Note: The minimum number of meals the card must be topped up is 5.
INSA catering is also open to students from outside the institution.
