The object of AdViTAM, Advanced Vibration Tests for the Analysis of rotating Machines, is to define and propose Accelerated Vibration Stress Testing (AST) to qualify the integrity of rotating machines and structures subject by the base to extreme dynamic solicitations such as earthquakes, waves, impacts. The new qualification methodologies based on models and experimental techniques must help to design new architectures that reconcile the increase in performance, the reduction of nuisances, the guarantee of integrity and the safety of users.

AdViTAM combines AVNIR Engineering, an innovative company with proven experience in the conduct of pilot tests, at LaMCoS, which has a wide range of competences in the field of dynamics of rotating machines and structures. AdViTAM is therefore an opportunity to create knowledge, pooling of theoretical and experimental know-how to respond effectively to the industrial needs in particular in the transport and energy sectors. The test devices and protocols are built and realized thanks to the 6-axis hydraulic shaker of the Equipex PHARE, which has large capacities. This unique test facility in national public research is capable of generating the extreme solicitations envisaged to carry out the proposed experimental protocols. AdViTAM should provide academic and industrial communities with answers mainly on the definition of qualification standards based on several simultaneous excitation axes, the robustness of the observability-algorithm-actuation chain of smart machines and structures, the reliability of high-precision measurements for monitoring and diagnostic techniques, the stability of rotors mounted on active hydrodynamic or magnetic bearings.
