Is INSA Lyon closed?
Yes, the engineering school is closed until further notice.
The departments, laboratories, administrative services, library, common areas, restaurants, association premises, sports facilities, Kfèt, are also closed. The teaching and administrative staff of the INSA are, for the most part, teleworking and can be reached by e-mail.
How is teleworking organized for the staff?
Staff with computer equipment should, as far as possible, telework; except for staff with an activity that is part of the continuity plan.
Staff who do not have professional IT equipment are allowed to telework if they are willing to use their personal equipment. Otherwise, they will be given exceptional leave of absence.
For staff whose activity is not compatible with telework, they will be issued with an exceptional leave of absence.
What about courses during the closure?
Classroom-based training activities are suspended and replaced, as far as possible, by distance learning. For more information, students can contact their study department. Therefore, the students are not on holiday.
During the closure, will the salaries of civil servants, contract workers and temporary workers be maintained?
INSA staff, whether contractual or tenured, will be paid. Temporary workers who have already worked their hours will be paid. As for individual contractors who have not yet worked their hours, the matter is under consideration at this time.
Are the INSA restaurants closed?
Yes, the INSA restaurants are now closed.
On the other hand, the COOP', the student grocery store managed by the Student Office, is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
Will students who benefit from unused food packages be reimbursed?
The administrative teams will make sure that there are no financial implications concerning the catering; reimbursements can therefore be made as soon as the teams have been able to return to their premises and resume normal activity.
Can students in residence stay in their accommodation?
Yes, they can stay in their accommodation.
If they wish to leave, either temporarily or permanently, they must report their departure to firstname.lastname@example.org
Do the residences welcome new tenants?
It is possible to welcome students on mobility abroad or in France on an exceptional basis. Please send an e-mail to email@example.com
Can students housed on campus get tokens for the laundromats ?
Yes, students who are housed can come and buy laundry tokens at the Student Office on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.
For students staying at INSA, does the mail service work?
The post office is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Only parcels delivered by La Poste are received. For other parcels, you must pick them up at relay points or make an appointment with the deliveryman at a place of your choice.
Is the laundry service open?
The laundry service, located on the ground floor of residence B, will be open on 9 and 10 April from 9am to 12pm.
Residents who have been using this service since their arrival on campus for the 2019 - 2020 academic year will have to bring their dirty sheets back to pick up clean sheets.
For residents who do not use this service, INSA offers the possibility to borrow sheets. Residents will have to present the INSA multi-service card in order to benefit from this free service.
Can repairs be done in the rooms?
Yes, residents must make a ticket on Vizellia. For health measures, they will be asked to respect certain safety instructions to limit the spread of Covid-19 when technical staff pass through the accommodation.
Will students who have temporarily left their accommodation be reimbursed?
The administrative teams will make sure that there are no financial implications regarding accommodation in the residences; reimbursements can be made once the teams have been able to return to their premises and resume normal activities.
What about security on campus?
In these exceptional circumstances, the safety and security of our campus remains a priority for the establishment. Some services ensure on-site protection and good maintenance of the installations.

What about the libraries of the City of Lyon?
All the libraries of the City of Lyon are closed until 15 April inclusive.
The loan period for these documents will be extended by the duration of the closure, so as not to trigger any late payment compensation.
Pending reservations will be extended. New bookings are no longer possible.

International - Mobility in and out
Are international mobility for students suspended?
Yes, all future mobility abroad is suspended until further notice.
Students already on mobility can, if they wish, return to their studies without fear of penalty. If this is the case, please inform your training department and the International Relations Department of your return.
Can a French student in mobility abroad return to France?
Yes, he can return to France. To do so, it is necessary to register on ariane, to contact the embassy, and also the training department and the international relations department. On his return, he must make sure that he can follow the courses given by his university or, failing that, by the INSA from his home.
Can foreign students return to their countries?
Yes, students may return home if conditions permit. To do so, they must contact the embassy of their country. They must also make sure that they can follow INSA courses at a distance.
How do you welcome international students and researchers?
The reception of international students and researchers, all areas combined, is cancelled until further notice. Pedagogical continuity is ensured for foreign students.

Internships & Apprenticeships
The trainee approaches the company to define the conditions under which the internship will continue, with a strong emphasis on telework if conditions allow.If telework is possible: the trainee can carry out the internship at home by maintaining contact with the host organisation. In order to formalise this provision, an amendment to the internship agreement will have to be written.
If the conditions do not allow the implementation of telework: the internship can continue in the presence of the trainee in the strict application of the barrier gestures and the recommendations of the Government. Trainees must be vigilant on these aspects both at the place of training and when travelling (for which they must ensure that they have a certificate from their employer).
- Suspension and/or postponement
If the organisation's premises are closed and telework is not possible, the traineeship should be temporarily suspended and/or the dates changed. Such changes require an amendment to the agreement.
N.B.: For students in year 5 as well as in continuing education, and in order not to penalize graduation, it is permitted this year to continue the internship if necessary until October 31, 2020.
If no solution is possible, the course may be interrupted. An amendment to the agreement should be written.
From whom should I obtain the right to add an amendment and how should it be completed?
Models of endorsements for the various cases mentioned above are available from the study departments.
In view of the conditions, the endorsements may exceptionally be filled in and signed digitally by the 3 parties (host organization, institution and student).
My internship is due to start in the coming weeks, what are the recommendations?
No new internship can start at the moment, except those that can be carried out by teleworking at home. It will therefore be advisable to provide for telework within the internship agreement, by means of an addendum available from the training departments. Face-to-face traineeships can only start at the end of the confinement period.
My company suggests to modify the conditions of my bonus, what should I answer?
As the bonus assumes an effective working time, it must be maintained when the telework placement is possible. As the trainee does not have the status of an employee, he or she cannot claim partial unemployment.
If the traineeship is suspended, the payment of the bonus is also suspended in principle. However, the organization can decide whether it is to be maintained in whole or in part.

I am an apprentice, what are the school's instructions?
The first instruction is to contact your employer or your CFA to ask for teleworking or, if this is not possible, to obtain the instructions allowing you to carry out your period in the company under the health safety conditions imposed by the situation.
Concerning the period of the course at INSA, please contact your department which will guide you in the procedure to follow.
Admissions INSA Group
Are the admission interviews organized by the INSA group maintained?
The interviews scheduled for candidates registered on Parcoursup for a bac S, bac STI2D and STL are cancelled.
The interviews for candidates in 2nd year and 3rd year for candidates from the CPGEs and (BTS, DUT, L3) are also cancelled.
