Alain Le Vern, Chairman of the Upper Normandy Regional Council will be hosting the inauguration day for InnovENT-E, on Friday, October 12th from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Upper Normandy Hôtel de Région in Rouen in the presence de Nicole Bricq, Minister for Foreign Trade and Fleur Pellerin, Minister for Small and Medium Sized Companies at the Ministry of Productive Recovery.

The purpose of InnovENT-E is to provide suitable training programmes for developing small and medium-sized companies’ capacities to import and export. These programmes take simultaneous account of the scientific, technical, managerial, environmental and behavioural dimensions needed for international development strategies. So, the project is for training talent at upper technician or executive levels capable of injecting dynamics into developing innovation and international strategies in small and medium sized companies. The project was retained in the selective context of Investments for the Future.

The system, an important vector in national economic development at the service of small and medium sized companies is borne by 4 founder members: The INSA group, Technology University network, the CESI and the University of Lorraine. The INPI decided to join the consortium as a major partner.

Four Higher Education Research Centres (PRES in French) are associated in the project (The Normandy University, Centre Val de Loire, Poitou Charentes and Toulouse University PRES), as well as higher education establishment including the EPF, Rouen Business School, ICN, ESC Troyes, design schools, several clusters and companies, national and regional employers’ organisations, Chambers of Trade and Industry and Regional Councils.

Deployment of InnovENT-E: The complete programme will be deployed over a period of three years, the time needed for concrete, tangible repercussions resulting from its multiplication to be perpetuated. Helped by the geographical complementarity of partner establishments and the variety of training programmes on offer, these programmes will be accessible to small and medium sized companies throughout the country.
