3 teachers-researchers recognised for their work on materials

On the occasion of the Annual Days of SF2M (French Society for Metallurgy and materials), 3 lecturer-researchers from the Mateis Laboratory will be recognised for their research and applied work on materials.

Gilbert Fantozzi from the Ceramics and Composites Group is to receive the  Portevin Medal. This award goes to a French or foreign worker who has made a distinguished contribution in the fields in which Albert Portevin was so successful, in particular the working and forming properties of materials.

Michel Perez from the Metals and Alloys Group will receive the Jean Morlet Prize, which is awarded to a French or foreign worker who has made a distinguished contribution in the field of processes or modelling the behaviour of materials, leading to the development of new products or processes.

Damien Fabregue from the Metals and Alloys Group will receive the Jean Rist Medal. This award is designed to encourage young metallurgists or materials scientists, French or foreign, who have produced distinguished scientific and applied work on materials.
