This assignment has three objectives:

• take part in the staff week (Erasmus mobility week for administrative personnel) organised by this partner university, with visits to the campus and laboratories, and meetings with persons doing similar work
• promote INSA Lyon during the Study Abroad Fair (international day) for students of the establishment
• renew the Erasmus agreements with Aalto University

Sandrine Maximilien, ERASMUS coordinator at the International Relations Department, joined Asia Gallien for the Study Fair. A number of students, some of whom were French-speaking, expressed a keen interest in our establishment. We shall shortly be contacting them again.

The Nordic countries generate much interest among our students and the visit reinforced our relationship with this strategic partner. IRD wishes to raise the attractiveness of INSA Lyon for Nordic students, with a view to re-balancing the flows. This will require an improvement in our offer of courses in English and more contact between the various actors in these establishments.

The visit also provided an opportunity to meet an INSA Lyon TC 2006 graduate, who has been based in Helsinki for some years and whose company would be ready to receive students on placement.
