Delegation of Vietnamese executives...

...for training in Urban Management

Already heavily involved in Vietnam, notably through its PFIEV (Programme for Training High-Quality Engineers in Vietnam) programme, through the ASINSA subsidiary, in addition to the construction of an international land planning laboratory, INSA Lyon played host to a Vietnamese delegation in late May for training in Urban Management.

Funded by the Vietnamese government, this training programme, which took place between 15 and 27 May 2011, was aimed at twenty senior Vietnamese executives (Deputy Minister for Construction, Deputy Minister for Transport, Deputy Chairs and Managers for People’s Committees for Vietnam, Directors of State-owned enterprises).

The programme, developed by the Directorate for International Relations at INSA Lyon, supported by the ITUS teams at the “Environment, City, and Society” Laboratory included conferences given by some of the leading experts in Lyon complemented by site visits. The programme additionally took due account of the particularities of Vietnam, a country undergoing rapid expansion experiencing major issues regarding complex development, notably in terms of its infrastructure and urban planning.
