Franco-German theme encounters

Twenty or so 2nd cycle student-engineers (from all departments) took part in Franco-German theme encounters in the context of a programme organized by Manfred Zamzow (French professor at the Berlin TU) and Mireille Auzias-Poumet (German professor at INSA Lyon).

The programme is financed by the Franco-German Youth Office in the context of Franco-German theme encounters. This collaborative work was concluded by a final presentation on May 28th with an exhibition in the Humanities Hall and then in the Hall of the Marie Curie library.

INSA Lyon student engineers stayed in Berlin from April 15th to 22nd. During the stay, they worked together in tandem on the following themes:

 Architecture and urban development:
- Bauhaus, parallels with Le Corbusier
- Public squares (history, functions…)
- Low consumption buildings (“passive houses”)

Cinema: comparison of Berlin and Lyon as cinematic cities, “reshooting” scenes from the film “Sonnenallee”, montage, etc.

Fashion/ Design: Reflections on aesthetic criteria design and manufacture of clothing, accessories, fashion show (with choreography) and explanations on choices.

From May 23rd to 29th, INSA Lyon played host to the group of students from Berlin. They worked together on the same themes and concentrated their efforts on elements specific to Lyon:

Architecture: La Tourette (Le Corbusier), the Confluence neighbourhood, public squares in Lyon…

Cinema: The Institut Lumière, “reshooting” scenes from the film “Effroyables jardins”, montage

Fashion and Design: Interviews at the Creators Village, la Soie. Design and presentation of accessories.
