Post Master in Tunnels and Underground Structures

Created by the Association Française des Tunnels et de l’Espace souterrain (AFTES - French Association of Tunnels and Underground Spaces), the INSA de Lyon and the ENTPE (National Public Works School), in partnership with AFTES and the Centre d'Etudes des Tunnels (Tunnel Studies Center), this new Special Masters Degree is intended to meet the high demand on the French and international market for specialists trained in the design, construction, and operation of underground structures.
Intended to give generalist civil engineers specialized training to progress rapidly toward management positions, whether in industry, project management, structure management, or operation, this Special Masters Degree obtained accreditation from the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (Consortium of Elite Universities) in 2011. It has also earned the "International Education" certification from the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA/AITES) and the support of the Syndicat des Travaux Souterrains (FNTP - National Public Works Federation).
This training program is designed for general civil engineering or geotechnical engineering degree holders or professionals with training in related fields, such as mechanics.
