Mechanical Engineering Development (GMD)
86 graduates per year
Multidisciplinary mechanical engineers trained in development processes.
Development engineering identifies and designs new systems. It is involved right from the first concepts and proposes continual improvements until the end of the product’s life. In this context, the training is based on in-depth scientific and technical knowledge, and a strong international culture, with considerable use of project-based learning.
- The development engineer is trained in the design, development and research areas of mechanics.
- Mechanical Engineering Development is mainly involved up-stream of the production line, for manufactured products, and then downstream with respect to their improvement.
A Development engineer has the ability to:
- analyse and manage a problem or project,
- identify or adapt the knowledge and skills required for modelling and solving the problem,
- design and qualify the experimental or digital tool that responds to the problem or the objective.
