INSA Lyon's international sections

Considering its large number of students (1,600 students) and the diversity of its teaching staff (nearly 200 teachers), the First Cycle department at INSA Lyon offers different training programmes with specific study sections: the “Classical" First Cycle, an Active Science Training (FAS) section, a High-Level Sport (SHN) and four international sections.
The new website for the international sections has been online since January at http://international.insa-lyon.fr. Here, we take the opportunity to tell you a little more about these atypical sections.
The First Cycle international sections bring together foreign students with a foreign Baccalaureate (or equivalent) and French students with a French "série S" Baccalaureate. There are four sections:
EURINSA - European section.
ASINSA - Asian section.
AMERINSA - Latin-American section.
SCAN - English-speaking section.
The core programme is identical to the classical section, but with certain specific features: courses in small groups, two languages mandatory (in addition to the mother tongue), possible scientific support classes, introduction to international cultures and institutions, French as a Foreign Language classes (FLE) for foreign students; the mandatory worker internship takes place in France for foreign students and abroad for French students (in Europe for EURINSA, etc.).
