The Volvo Academic Partner Programme aims to develop confidence and facilitate joint cooperation between companies within the Volvo Group and 10 academic partners around the world, including INSA Lyon.
The Volvo Group has already signed 2 similar agreements in China (Tsinghua and Tongji Universities) and with EM Lyon. Others are in progress with Chalmers (Sweden) and in the USA (Penn State and North Carolina Institutes). Ultimately, ten partnerships of this kind are planned around the world.

Under this agreement, INSA Lyon enjoys a special relationship with Volvo, including support for the launch and implementation of teaching activities for engineering students. These actions will be facilitated by:

- the stability of a long-term cooperative partnership;
- the strategic advantage offered by the knowledge and mechanisms of an industrial company.

The agreement is signed for a period of 3 years.
