Exchange agreement with Beijing JiaoTong University
On 13 December 2010, INSA Lyon received a delegation from Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), led by Vice-President Professor Chen Feng, for the signature of an academic exchange agreement between BJTU and INSA Lyon, including an agreement for the admission of Chinese students to INSA engineering courses.
Cooperation commences with the Department of Industrial Engineering, although the agreements signed are comprehensive and can be applied to other Departments if appropriate. Representatives of the Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering Departments were also present.
At the request of BJTU, research projects were presented. Professors Xavier Kleber of the MATEIS Laboratory and Goran Pavic of the LVA Laboratory described their respective work on fatigue of materials and transport acoustics.
Created in 1896 as a Polytechnic, Beijing Jiaotong University (previously known as Northern Jiaotong University) has welcomed foreign students since 1954. The University is situated not far from Zhongguancun, China’s Silicon Valley.
