The China Center for Urban Development visits INSA...
...for a conference on Urban Management
Professor Jean-Michel Deleuil of the EVS-ITUS Laboratory (Environment, the City and Society – Engineering, Technology, Urbanisation and Societies) gave a presentation on “Urban Management” on Friday 11 March 2011 to the International Relations Directorate in the Marco Polo building.
The event was organised at the request of the China Center for Urban Development (CCUD), during an educational visit to France by 25 of its representatives, including the Director of the Development Bureau. Students from the Civil Engineering and Urban Development department - Liu LIU, Zhe WANG, Yuanfang ZHANG, and Jie ZHU – also took part in the event.
An “Urban Management” course will be organised by IRD (Sandrine Maximilien) in May 2011 for approximately 20 Vietnamese managers, as part of the Equipville and Lumiville conferences at Eurexpo. This course format also interested the CCUD representatives. Students from the CEU department, a part of ASINSA, spoke of their stay in France and their choice of department of specialisation.
The request from the China Center for Urban Development to come to INSA resulted from INSA’s participation at the 2010 Universal Exhibition in Shanghai, and from the “Young Ambassadors” programme (which invites foreign students into the economic and cultural life of Rhône-Alpes during their training in the region).
