Protective effects of oxidised HDL’s against platelet hyperaggregation in patients with abetalipoproteinemia
Research work undertaken by the INFOLIP team at the CarMeN Laboratory (INSERM UMR 1060/ Lyon 1 University, INRA 1235, INSA-Lyon), led by Professors Michel Lagarde and Philippe Moulin, has recently shown the aggregation inhibition effects, which protect against cardiovascular illnesses, of oxidised High Density Lipoproteins isolated from the blood plasma of patients with abetalipoproteinemia.
The results of this translational study were recently published in “The FASEB Journal1".
