Call for contributions "Crossover Sciences Day"
"Modelling and Digital Sciences: new instruments and opportunities"
Thursday 20th October 2011 - INSA Lyon, Claude Chappe Amphitheater
This event, organised by the Science Committee at INSA Lyon, is intended for Teachers-Researchers/Institutional Researchers (independent of specialist areas) and is the opportunity to introduce the Lyon Modelling and Digital Simulation Federation (FMLSN)*, which has just received ministerial approval.
This event will additionally involve presentations based on feedback and experience from research activities having been supported by the Federation of presenting similar projects/approaches led outside of this structure but which could be of benefit.
Each half-day will begin with a conference with invited guests (Stéphane Douadi and Francisco Chinesta), which will present work undertaken, for instance, on the crossover between simulation and/or interfacing with several disciplines.
Two types of contribution are planned: oral presentation or poster presentation. Presentations should last between 20 to 30 minutes, depending upon the number selected.
Posters shall be displayed for the entire day in the lobby of the Claude Chappe Building.
* The FLMSN unites three structures which focus on intensive calculation, modelling and complexity: the Lyon Federation for High-Performance Calculations (FLCHP), the Rhône-Alpes Institute for Complex Systems (IXXI) and the Blaise Pascal Centre (CBP).
