The 15th "4L Trophy"
7 teams from INSA Lyon on the trails of the Moroccan desert
From 16 to 26 February 2012, more than 1300 4L cars, and some 2600 students, travelled 6000 km during the 2012 4L Trophy. The objective: to reach the dunes of Merzouga after 10 days of adventure in the middle of the Moroccan desert.
This event, which is the largest humanitarian-oriented, student sporting event in Europe, involves crossing the Moroccan desert at the wheel of the legendary Renault 4L. The need for speed is excluded from this rally. The ranking is established according to the teams' orientation skills and ability to overcome obstacles. While primarily a humanitarian rally, the 4L Trophy is also a human adventure, since it delivers school, sports and medial supplies to the most deprived children in Morocco. Each year, it enables hundreds of children to go to school with everything they need to study in good conditions. This year, the work and involvement of all the teams will also help to build a school in the south of Morocco.
Congratulations to the 7 teams from INSA Lyon that took part in the adventure.
